Picture Perfect Maternity and Baby Sessions
St. Cloud, MN Baby Photographer | Ivan’s Six Month Sitter Photo Session
As a St. Cloud, MN baby photographer, I love seeing my little clients at all stages of their growing up! Although newborn pics are probably the most popular, it’s also great to get photos of your little one as they reach important developmental milestones throughout that first year. I loved seeing Ivan for his six-month sitter photo session!
Sitter photo sessions (so called because they usually take place when baby is able to sit independently) are so much fun! Baby’s personality is blossoming and they’re learning how to do all kinds of amazing things—like sitting up, crawling, and being able to play and interact with others.
Ivan was such a happy little guy for his six month sitter photo session. Some babies are just beginning to develop some stranger danger around this age, but not Ivan! I didn’t even have to try to get him warmed up to the camera. He just had a great time from start to finish, and was so adorable and smiley.
We did a few different outfits (I kinda love that pumpkin orange romper) and a few different setups. I think Ivan really liked the swing—and riding side-saddle on my little wooden bed prop! What a cutie!
St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Gabriella’s Newborn Session
Did you ever see anything so precious as little Gabriella? I loved being the St. Cloud, MN newborn photographer for this beautiful family this past summer.
Gabriella’s newborn session was extra special because both mom and dad were able to join us in the studio. Although I know a photoshoot can be tough to squeeze into a busy schedule (and life never seems busier than when you’re a new parent!) it’s so worth it. I love being able to welcome the entire family to the studio so we can capture memories of this new relationship that’s just beginning to blossom.
I also love the colors we picked out for these baby pictures! As a St. Cloud, MN newborn photographer, I really enjoy seeing the different color combinations and props that parents pick out. Pink is always a classic for girls, but pairing it with the teal made it even better.
And Gabriella did such a good job the whole time! She has the most angelic little face, and we even got some smiles when mom and dad were holding her.
Ready to make some memories? I’m already looking forward to having you and your precious bundle in one of Tiny Hearts Studio’s beautiful locations!
St. Cloud, MN Baby Photographer | Grace’s 9 Month Photoshoot
I had so much fun doing Grace’s 9 month photoshoot! She is such a cutie, with the sweetest face and the most gorgeous blue eyes. And that smile—it lights up the whole studio!
As a St. Cloud, MN baby photographer, I’m a big believer in the idea that every stage of babyhood is a good time for pictures. Although newborn and one year photos are probably the most common, I love photographing little ones in between those big milestones too. Babies grow and change so much within that first year—it really is worth it to get as many pics as you can.
We went with a shabby chic look for Grace’s 9 month photoshoot. It was fun to get the studio all dolled up with flowers, baskets, and other pretty props.
This sweet baby girl had a great time—as you can see from that big, beautiful smile I was mentioning—and our pictures ended up so adorable. Mom even joined in a few so we could get some mother daughter portraits. Love it!
No matter what age your baby is, I hope you’ll invest in professional pictures of them. There’s nothing better than knowing that those precious moments are preserved forever, and I would love to capture those memories for you!
St. Cloud, MN Maternity Photographer | Lizbeth’s {35 weeks} Maternity Session
Lizbeth’s maternity shoot was nothing short of amazing. Her husband Keviin and her are basically models and she put off this Kim Kardashian vibe the entire time she was at the studio. This green bodysuit by Sew Trendy Accessories was my favorite though everything she wore, she wore it well. She looked so elegant in our couture gown by Katharina Hakaj Couture.
We could feel the love between this couple; both Lizbeth and Keviin were such naturals in front of the camera which made it really easy to photograph them. I was impressed how easily Lizbeth posed at 35 weeks pregnant. From experience, it can be hard to get around by that time!
It shouldn’t be much longer before we are sharing photos of their newborn as they’ll be returning to our studio for their newborn photoshoot as well. We are looking forward to meeting the baby behind your bump, Lizbeth! Best of luck with your labor and delivery.
Chanhassen, MN Cake Smash Photographer | {Diesel turns 1 year} | Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star Theme
We’ve had the pleasure of watching Diesel grow since his newborn session. His mom said she wanted to incorporate the moon and stars, but wasn’t sure what that would look like. We had this giant moon prop in the studio we thought would be perfect and added some balloons to the set to give it that festive, birthday feel!
Our preferred bakery nailed the cake based on the ideas I sent her! Diesel wasn’t sure what to think of his cake but his uncertainty made for some adorable shots! Twinkle, twinkle little star was the inspiration to the theme. He is certainly loved to the moon and back.
He loved our boho setup; he was curious about the plants and had fun climbing on props and playing with the leaves on the ground. We thought the set was perfect to dress-up his 1 year shirt! Happy birthday Diesel; we still can’t believe you are 1 year old already. Thank you for visiting our studio throughout the year and I suppose we will see you for some Santa photos again next month!
Chanhassen, MN Newborn Photographer | Naeva’s Newborn Session {1 week old}
It was a girl’s day out to the studio for Naeva’s studio newborn session. Her grandmother was visiting from India so mom decided to bring Grandma along to get some generational photos!
The name “Naeva” means born at night. Her big sister’s name is “Astra” which means “of the stars”. We had to honor the meaning of the sisters’ names with some stars, and of course, our moon prop bowl.
We definitely didn't have to beg Astra to take some photos with her new baby sister. She was all about sister pics and we even switched out the headband for the hat halfway through. Naeva looks like a little honey bear in our honey bucket!
Mom was right, jewel tones were perfect for Naeva’s hair and skin tone. She was such a good baby and even flashed us a smile on the green flokati fur.
St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer {10 days old, Baby Dax}
Mom was specific; she wanted this backlit image of dad and baby and the macro images of Dax’s features. She already had a plan of where these images would be hung (in the nursery).
Chanhassen, MN Birthday Photographer {2 years old, Brexlee}
Brexlee’s Birthday Session
Brexlee first came to the studio in the Spring for her Spring photos. Her mom loved the photos so much that she decided to bring her back shortly after for some birthday photos! Brexlee rocked the boho look before she put on her Minnie Mouse birthday dress! Scroll to the end to see the perfect Disney set we created for her birthday!
We have all the best boho props and she rocked this look! We especially love the beaded headband mom picked out from the Tiny Hearts headband collection (available for client use)!
We had the perfect set for her Minnie Mouse birthday outfit! The Magic Kingdom backdrop never disappoints (we have one for boys, too)!
The Minnie ears and that big pink bow just kills me! So cute! Happy birthday sweet Brexlee! It’s always a pleasure to have you at our photography studio.
Chanhassen, MN Newborn Photographer {13 days old, Baby Theodore}
Theodore’s Newborn Session
Theodore’s Parents met online and were a perfect match. Dad is a police officer and Mom is a police dispatcher! Baby was a little unsettled throughout his session due to a tummy ache so we took lots of time between photos to walk around the studio with him and soothe him. We can’t complain about the extra baby snuggles!
St. Cloud, MN Cake Smash Photographer | Beckett’s 1st Birthday Session | Lumberjack Theme
Little Beckett has been coming to the studio since he was just a bump! Yes, I photographed his mama’s maternity session. I swear he got cuter and cuter as the year went on. His mom, Kayla, was always a fan of our fun cake smash sets so we’ve been talking about a lumberjack-type theme for quite some time! See the moose in the background? That is actually Beckett’s stuffed animal!
Did you think these were actual pancakes? If you did, you were wrong! This is a cake with caramel running down the side. The “butter” is fondant! I found this real wooden cake stand at World Market and my preferred bakery topped it with the pancake cake. A cake fit for a king…I mean, lumberjack. Cakes are included in our cake smash sessions. Our partner bakery, which is a professional bakery, actually delivers cakes right to the studio. This ensures food safety, and well, I just don’t trust myself to drive your beautiful cakes around town right before your session! Between my creative ideas and our amazing bakery we always have the cutest sets and best cakes in town!
Beckett has always been an easy-going, happy baby. Who knew cake would make him even happier?!
He couldn’t quite get the cake in fast enough…
I think the tub confused him. He loved playing in the water, but at the same time, he was wondering where his cake ran off to! We like to give babies a splash after the smash. They love the bubbles, it makes for adorable photos, and you get to take home a clean baby!
Before the cake smash session we took some photos on our log bed prop. We decorated it with his blanket and his moose lovie because it matched the overall theme of the one year photo session. His bedroom at home just got redecorated in a lumberjack and red plaid theme. Kayla couldn’t wait to see these hanging in his newly decorated big-boy room.
Beckett, it was truly a joy to watch you grow over the past year! It’s bitter-sweet to graduate babies from my first year of photos baby plan. I don’t get to see “my” babies as often (every 3 months) anymore, but I’m also proud of the little people they’re becoming. I will see you again this fall, Beckett! Bring your big sis, Kylie, too!

St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Griffin’s Newborn Session | Rainbow Baby Newborn
Griffin had a two hour car ride from Albert Lea, MN for his newborn session. He was 10 days old on the day of his session and cute as a button. Griffin’s parents, Scott and Mariah, announced their pregnancy around Christmas time with a picture of some chocolate chip cookies and a clever tagline: “something sweet is on the way.” She baked some cookies and brought this cute sleeper with a cookie print with the hopes of creating an image that would be perfect for their birth announcement! It was so perfect that baby even opened his eyes for that shot! Mariah actually gave me the cookies after the shoot (so, yes, technically I ate the props)! Mama was really hoping to get an image with baby’s eyes open.
Scott and Mariah experienced a couple heartbreaking losses before Griffin came along so we incorporated my sweet little rainbow prop to signify this. A rainbow baby is a name coined for a healthy baby born after losing a baby due to miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The name “rainbow baby” comes from the idea of a rainbow appearing in the sky after a storm, or after a dark and turbulent time.
Mariah didn’t have any color preferences and I picked out and set up sets with a bunch of greens and teals before they all arrived to the studio. Griffin was actually dressed in these colors when he showed up buckled in his car seat and I knew instantly I made the right color choices for him! I love the idea of close-ups or macro shots hanging as a group in the nursery so it’s common for me to capture these types of images, whether or not parents request them.
Newborn pictures are some of the most important photos you’ll take in your lifetime and when a family chooses to bring their baby to my studio I feel really honored. It’s even more special to know sometimes people come from very far away, like the 2-hour trek these guys made from the Mankato, MN area to my St. Cloud, MN Newborn Studio.
Thank you for allowing me to capture Griffin as a newborn for you and for driving so far to make this happen. I know you will cherish these images for a lifetime.

St. Cloud, MN Newborn Photographer | Easton’s Newborn Session
Easton was such a good sleeper for his St. Cloud, MN newborn photography session. He was born 5 weeks early and visited the studio when he graduated from the NICU, a little over 2 weeks of age. We loved all 5 pounds of him.
I love how this color compliments Easton’s skin tone. Mom actually requested this blue-green color because it matches his nursery! She brought us a blanket from his nursery to color match and thankfully I had just about the exact same color available. These photos will look amazing hanging by his crib!
Easton’s dad is a sheriff’s deputy and brought along his uniform to incorporate in a photo. We love to incorporate personal, sentimental things in a newborn session for parents. This makes the session that much more special! If you have meaningful things you’d like to incorporate in your session, let us know ahead of time so we can collaborate with you and plan an amazing photo that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Edina, MN Newborn Photographer | {1 week old Azalea} Studio Newborn Session
I had the pleasure of meeting Azalea’s mama at the studio for a tour a couple months before she was born. We checked out all of our fun newborn props and other fun things available at the studio for newborns together. Two months later Azalea was born and they returned to the studio for her newborn session. Azalea was just one week old when we took her newborn photos.
We chose mauve and purple because we knew those colors would compliment her skin tone nicely. She was such an easy-going baby and the first thing I noticed about her was her beautiful head of hair!
Her nursery is decorated with butterflies so we wanted to incorporate some butterflies in some way. I couldn’t get enough of her tongue peeking out!
I love to incorporate hands in newborn photos as it shows baby’s size. It’s also a really sweet way to include parents in the image while still keeping the focus on baby.
She opened her eyes every once in a while, but not for long. She was pretty tired and always went right back to sleep. I was able sneak a photo with her eyes open, though!
I enjoyed being able to photograph Azalea and her family. Being able to capture these fleeting moments for this family gives me so much joy because I know how cherished these memories will be for their family

Rainbow Baby Maternity Photoshoot | Waite Park, MN
It was such a privilege to do a rainbow baby maternity photoshoot for this sweet couple. Expecting a little one after a previous loss is such a tender thing. I was honored that this mom and dad chose me as their St. Cloud maternity photographer.
It was such a privilege to do a rainbow baby maternity photoshoot for this sweet couple. Expecting a little one after a previous loss is such a tender thing. I was honored that this mom and dad chose me as their St. Cloud maternity photographer.
Katie and Seth wanted to do an outdoor maternity photography session, so we traveled to Quarry Park for a beautiful setting! This nature preserve (within Waite Park) has so many scenic spots, so we found our favorites and got some gorgeous photos.
I love the laidback, relaxed look of this outdoor couples maternity photoshoot. And just because it’s outdoors doesn’t mean you can’t have a little glamour too! Katie was 28 weeks along at the time of our session. Perfect for capturing that baby bump while she still felt comfortable enough to pose easily. These two were so natural about posing and I love these special images!
We even incorporated a little onesie for their precious rainbow baby. I love the idea of honoring the memory of a loss even as we prepared to celebrate a new arrival.
Thank you, Katie and Seth, for letting me do this beautiful rainbow baby maternity photoshoot for you. I can’t wait to have you and your little one in my St. Cloud, MN photo studio in a few months!
Baby Girl Photo Shoot | St. Cloud Photo Studio
Check out the photos from this baby girl photo shoot! Little Elizabeth was two weeks old when she came to my St. Cloud photo studio for pictures. It was great to meet her and see her parents again—I did their newborn photography session for Elizabeth’s big brother, and have also seen them for milestone and Santa sessions, so we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well. I was so excited when I heard they were expecting another little one!

Grandma also came to the session to help out. I’m always up for an extra set of hands! This session fell on Mother’s Day, so it was super special to have baby girl, mom, and mom’s mom together.
Elizabeth’s two older brothers stayed home, but we got some great newborn and parent shots. And of course, plenty of baby pictures of the little princess herself! We picked out some pinks, purples, and grays to tie our session together. Turned out so cute!
It was fun to do this baby girl photo shoot and spend time with some favorite clients! I’m so happy for them and their growing family—and it makes it even better that I get to be the one to record it for them!
Baby Boy Photoshoot with Siblings | St. Cloud
What a fun baby boy photoshoot! This beautiful blended family drove to my St. Cloud photo studio all the way from Willmar, MN (over an hour away)! No easy feat with a car full of kids, but wow was it worth it! We got such great pictures!

Dad actually booked this session as a surprise for Mom. Isn’t that sweet? I can’t think of a better gift for a new mom than professional images of her baby!
I love the teal they picked out to go with our more neutral base colors of cream and brown. Turned out so cute—still perfect for a boy, but something a little different than the traditional navy blue. They also requested the mini bed setup, and then we figured out the rest as we went along. I’m always happy to either accommodate special requests, or help you pick out the perfect props and colors for your baby photoshoot. Whatever you need!
Big sister and brothers did a great job with the new little guy. I’m glad we got to make this baby boy photoshoot complete with sibling pictures too! Lucio was 9 lbs at birth, so I have a feeling he’s going to be a big strong kiddo and have tons of fun with his brothers and sister. He was 16 days old at the time of our session and was absolutely fantastic for me. He slept well (we even got a couple of sleepy smiles out of him) and was just such a cutie!
Ready to book your session? Get in touch—I can’t wait!
St. Cloud MN Family Photographer
What’s one of the best things about being a St. Cloud MN family photographer? The chance to meet so many amazing moms, dads, and kiddos! This family has a tradition of getting updated family pictures every year (which I am all for!) This year, they’ve just moved into a new home and wanted to get more professional images that they could use to decorate their space. So they decided to treat themselves to the full studio experience and booked a professional family photo shoot with me. I’m so happy they did!

I also have four boys of similar ages, so I felt an instant connection. The smallest boy gave me a run for my money—it was hard to tear him away from his sucker long enough to snap a few shots, but we did it! Aside from that the kids were really well behaved and we got some great pictures of everyone.
I love the bright colors Mom chose. She had originally been thinking something earthy and organic, but we ended up combining bright outfits with a simple, neutral-colored set. The result turned out super beachy and fun!
I loved being the St. Cloud MN family photographer for this fantastic group, and I’m excited that they can make their new house a home with these wonderful family photos!
Newborn and Family Photoshoot | St. Cloud
I love the pics from this newborn and family photoshoot I did last month! Baby Lucille (named after her great-great-grandma) was two weeks old at the time of our session. Mom, Dad, and their two preschool-aged boys brought the new little one to my St. Cloud photo studio, which is quite a drive! They live four hours away, in Babbitt, MN, so I was super flattered that they wanted to make the trip.

Mom and Dad chose yellow and pink as the main colors for our newborn and family photoshoot, to represent sunrise and sunset. I love the warmth and brightness!
The boys were adorable and super good about posing with their new baby sister. We got the cutest shots of them together! When kiddos are involved, I find it helps to keep things relaxed and just focus on having fun together, so we got lots of natural pictures rather than posed setups when the brothers were involved. We also had fun recreating a shot from mom’s childhood: The photo of the two boys on mom’s back is a recreation of a photo from when mom was small with her own parents. Such a great idea!
It was a pleasure to spend time with sweet little Lucille and her parents and brothers. What a beautiful family!
Cake Smash Photography | Strawberries and Cream
This cake smash photography session was nonstop fun from start to finish! I photographed Aubrie as a newborn, so it was great to have her back in my St. Cloud MN photo studio for a first birthday cake smash. (Mom is pregnant with baby girl number 2—due on the same day Aubrie was due last year! Keep an eye out on the blog for her maternity and newborn pictures, coming soon!)

I almost always learn something new about my little clients when they come to the studio. With this session, I found out that Aubrie is obsessed with strawberries! And did I have the perfect cake smash setup for her!
She was actually way more interested in the strawberries than the cake itself—although she still managed to get a nice amount of cream on her face. I had so much fun getting pictures of her as she enjoyed her treat. We decided to finish up with a milk bath (I almost always end my cake smash photography sessions with a bath—you’re welcome) and she still wanted to keep eating strawberries—so we just put a few in there with her!
I had ordered 6 pounds of berries for the set and to top the cake. Once we’d gotten all of our first birthday baby pictures, there were only 4 pounds left for mom to take home. Now that’s what I call a berry happy birthday!

Awww! Loved being the St. Cloud cake smash photographer for this little cutie! Eloise wasn’t totally sure about being photographed at first, but if there’s one thing I know how to do it’s help little ones feel comfortable in my studio. It didn’t take her long to warm up and we got some adorable baby pictures!

Eloise wasn’t totally sure about being photographed at first, but if there’s one thing I know how to do it’s help little ones feel comfortable in my studio. It didn’t take her long to warm up and we got some adorable baby pictures!
We started out with a beautiful shabby chic setup that I absolutely love! When I’m photographing babies I like to do a combination of posed photos (as much as you can with toddlers, right?) and more natural shots where baby can just do what they feel like and I capture it with the camera. Eloise had fun showing off her crawling skills, and I had fun capturing those beautiful brown eyes!
After our milestone pics we switched to a birthday setup with lots of fun balloons and fairy lights. Eloise wasn’t quite sure what to do with her cake at first, but once we gave her a taste she was all in! Forget the spoon—everybody knows cake is finger food anyway.
A birthday cake smash is a super fun way to celebrate your little one’s big day—just ask Eloise! I would love to be the St. Cloud cake smash photographer for your baby’s special day. Contact me for details!
