St. Cloud, MN Baby Photographer | Everly’s 6 Month Milestone Session

Okay, can we just draw some attention to the cheeks and the dimples going on here? Cutest thing ever! It was so much fun to do Everly’s 6 month milestone session with her and her parents. She was such a happy baby!

Loved the cute outfits mom and dad picked out—including a black one, which we hardly ever get to do for baby girls! This session took place in the summer, so it seemed fitting to use lots of plants and flowers in our setups. Bowls and swings are also great props to use for a 6 month milestone session since baby is often sitting up at this point—either with a little support or on their own—and we used lots of those too.

A baby photography session is also the perfect time to get some family pictures! We made sure to get some family shots and baby parent portraits so that Everly and her parents can have photos of the whole family at this extra fun stage of babyhood. Whether you’re putting your pictures on display, using them in an album, or sending them out as gifts, you’ll be so glad you have images of everyone together!

St. Cloud, MN Baby and Family Photographer | Cori’s First Birthday Session

Although cake smashes are hands-down the most popular option when it comes to a first birthday session, they’re far from the only option! For Cori’s one year milestone, we decided to do an outdoor family photoshoot. It turned out to be so fun!

We brought just a couple of props for Cori’s one year baby pictures, but mostly we used the grass, fields, and winding path as our backdrop. One of the great things about outdoor family photos is how much kids love to be outside! They really can just relax, play, and explore—and we’ll grab some great shots along the way!

There’s no time like sunset for outdoor portraits. The light is a perfect warm glow at that time of day, and there aren’t any harsh contrasts of sun and shadow for us to worry about.

We did a few posed family portraits. For the most part though, this baby and family photography session was very relaxed. We just enjoyed the beautiful weather, the great company, and the experience of capturing memories.

St. Cloud, MN Baby Photographer | Finn’s 9 Month Milestone Session

Talk about a happy baby! I don’t think Finn stopped smiling once during his 9 month milestone session! What a cutie. Loved those sparkling blue eyes and fluffy hair that stuck up everywhere!

Although most people think of newborn and one-year sessions as the big ones, I also love doing those in-between milestones at 3, 6, and 9 months. So much happens in baby’s first year that these are honestly huge milestones too! Smiling, sitting up, crawling, maybe even standing and taking a few steps on their own—those accomplishments should be recorded.

Like most babies, Finn loves being outside. Even though we were doing these baby and family pictures in the studio, we brought a little of the outdoors in by creating a gardening and camping setup. I think this kiddo is going to have a green thumb when he gets older!

It was wonderful to have some extended family join us for these photos! We got some great baby and family pictures. Oh, and Mom and Dad had a surprise to share too. What a great way to wrap up an exciting 9 month milestone session—with the announcement that Finn was about to be promoted to big brother!
