Mommy and Me Photo Session | Chanhassen, MN Family Photographer

You all remember Aaira! She was in the studio just recently for a winter ONEderland cake smash. (Which turned out adorable, by the way!) With baby girl turning a year old, mom also wanted to bring her in for some family pictures and a special mommy and me photo session. I loved having Aaira in the studio twice in as many weeks!

As a Chanhassen, MN family photographer, I loved that Aaira’s mom wanted to do an additional session to highlight their family relationships. Don’t get me wrong, cake smashes are a total blast! But family photos are timeless. And there’s something about a mommy and me photo session that is just so sweet! It was a pleasure to capture this beautiful mother-daughter duo.

I was so glad dad could make it to the studio too! We got some fantastic pics of the whole family together before we focused the rest of our time on Aaira and her mama. Did you ever see such a beautiful pair?

Winter ONEderland Cake Smash | Chanhassen, MN Photo Studio

Happy birthday, baby girl! Aaira was such a doll and we had a blast doing her winter ONEderland cake smash together! Mom is an influencer in Minneapolis and wanted to do an extra special birthday cake smash for her little nugget. (For mom’s blog post on how to plan a cake smash, click here.)

Of course, your cake smash experience will vary depending on which photographer you choose. At Tiny Hearts Studio, we want everything to be as fun and hassle-free as possible. That’s why we provide everything you’ll need, from backdrops and props to the cake itself. (A professionally decorated cake is included with our session fee and delivered directly to our Chanhassen, MN photo studio to ensure food safety.) All you have to bring is the birthday boy or girl and their super cute outfit!

All our birthday photo sessions are completely customized, and we build our sets based on whatever direction the parents give us. For Aaira’s one year celebration, mom wanted a winter ONEderland cake smash. So we set up the studio with snowflakes, snowy owls, and a kid-sized forest. Plus lots of pink and sparkles, of course!

Aaira loved her cake and dug right in! It doesn’t get much better than frosting on baby cheeks, does it?
